turning

Another picture taken around midnight, it has a very blue colour. Although it isn’t the time (by the clock) that is relevant, it’s the fact that the sun is only just below the horizon that gives the colour. And this time of year that happens to be around midnight.

This particular picture shows a white-tailed eagle turning sharply, before landing to feed its chicks. Well, I suppose it’s landing to feed chicks, there was a lot of this kind of traffic over the same spot.

evening swim

Taken around midnight between yesterday and today, it shows the disturbance caused in the water by a swimming muskrat. Just minutes before, it had been eating reeds a mere five metres in front of me, but unfortunately kept itself completely hidden by the reeds.

Touchdown!

touchdown

I know the focus is not spot on, but from the time I saw this swan come in for a landing, I had approximately three seconds to react, find it with my lens and get some sort of focus. Given the short time, I want to claim it’s not bad….
